Keeping You In Stitches

A few fabric shops in Grecia…

Posted on: November 22, 2011

Took a new friend to Grecia this morning because she was looking for 9 meters of fabric for bedroom curtains. No place in town had that much of the same fabric!  She did find some fabric, tho.

It’s amazing that there are  fabric stores here and they DO NOT sell thread, needles, scissors, etc., you know the the staples of sewing.  One of the stores had lots and lots of Christmas fabric….beautiful stuff, table cloths, table runners, placemats, etc.  Still having trouble getting my head in the mode that it’s time to decorate for Christmas.

On the way to Grecia, the coffee pickers were hard at work….well, actually they were taking a break! LOL  If you could see some of the steep hills that coffee is planted on, you would be in awe of these coffee pickers;  coffee picking is done by hand.

The coffee on our property is turning ripe so I imagine Edgar will soon be picking it.

We have another crop of bananas growing; however, the first crop we “found”, still has not ripened.  No wonder they cost so much in the states!

Adios for now!
