Had bunion surgery on the right foot Nov. 2 – figured the left foot went so well, this one would too.  NOT!
I now know what they say when the pain is horrific!  Pain pills for 8 days, crutches for 7; lots of naps and just plain sitting in a chair with my leg/foot elevated.
And on [...]

By the way, Rebecca No. 32, must be a hot book – because the three shops we went to were out of it!  However, I found it easily on Jimmy Beans website – in fact, it’s already been shipped!

Monday night knitting!

Posted by: keepingyouinstitches on: November 1, 2007

Deloris had the gang of knitters over for an evening of knitting.  We laughed, and knitted, and frogged, and laughed….and the best part, she had the most delicious chocolate pudding cake with ice cream!!!  There seems to be a theme when we get together….knit, laugh, eat!!!
Thanks to Deloris for hosting us…..we secretly wish she’d get [...]

Tuesday morning Cat and I headed to Nashville to visit Threaded Bliss and see and talk to Laurie Perry, author of Crazy Aunt Purl’s Drunk, Divorced and Covered in Cat Hair.  She was very personable and fun to talk too – I asked her to please autograph my book, and she politely told me that [...]

Here we have Sister Sally with Biker Babe (your author!) trying to convince Sister Sally to come to the other side!  I’m happy to say, anyone who knows Sally, knows that’s not the habit she’s used too!  I also might add, the Biker Babe won first prize for her costume!!!

  • Ah….life in the fast lane November 10, 2009
At least that’s how I like to think of it! Things have been testy around the house since the bionic man got a new knee.  Seems like we’ve had lots of repairmen, which ultimately leads to lots of barking.  Derby, our found on the streets of Nashville dog, absolutely cannot help himself when it comes to [...]

  • A new and colorful knee! October 24, 2009
Tuesday (and this is Saturday) Mark got a new knee; it’s getting more and more colorful!  Came home Thursday and trotted him off to rehab on Friday morning.   Coloring goes pretty much around the whole knee….wowee!  Or maybe I should say owie! Staples come out Nov. 3 and yes, there will be documentation of that too; most [...]

  • Very technologically challenged….oh yes, I am October 18, 2009
For the life of me, I couldn’t figure out how I was receiving voice mails on my cell phone when it was sitting right next to me!  This has been going on for about a week now. Lo and behold, there’s a tiny button on the side of the iphone that if it gets moved, mutes [...]
